Studio Senior Sessions

At the time I’m writing this I have just ONE outdoor date left and I expect it to book in the next day or so. Update. All outdoor dates are booked! Funny thing, I just looked at my post from last year and it was almost the same day in August that everything was booked! Class of 2024 if you’re paying attention, book early! By the time school starts, I might have just a few spots left for the Studio Senior Sessions in November!

Fall weather in Portland

I love that this happens every year. We get used to the gorgeous rain-free weather and daydream about having a fall that is full of golden light, leaves turning colors, and no rain. And then we get blasted with rain non-stop sometime in mid-October. During the school year, the sun sets earlier and earlier, and teenagers are busy with school, homework, friends, sports, activities, and maybe even a part-time job. All of this makes finding time for your senior portraits difficult.

Why Fall dates are hard for outdoor pictures

I’ve been doing senior portraits for 11 years now so I know to not schedule too many when we’ve gotta start watching for the rain to return. I don’t want us to get stuck because some years I’ve had to reschedule seniors 2 or 3 times due to rain. And by November, I’m not going to risk your portraits on weather. The holidays are coming so I move everyone into the studio for winter.

My studio is different

The studio is LOVELY! It’s not like the big chain studios in the mall or one in a basement. The studio has a huge wall of windows with amazing natural light, even on overcast days. We can use my studio lights to create more dramatic images too! There are plants, chairs, couches, and rugs to add depth and dimension to your images. You’ll love the easy-to-access changing area, parents can hang out on a couch nearby and maybe even jump in for a shot or two! There will be TWO options for Studio Senior Sessions

The first type will be The Senior Headshot. This is perfect if you need a great image for your yearbook. These will be on weekday mornings only and booked back to back so let your friends know and carpool together!

The most popular type in years past is The Deluxe Senior Session. This session includes professional hair and makeup and multiple outfit changes and backdrop setups. These sessions will be mostly on weekends or weekday evenings.
