It’s September 1st! Is it Fall yet? So funny how everyone seems to be looking forward to fall this year. Maybe it’s cause we just gotta get through these last few months of 2020 and things will be better in 2021? We can hope right?
Whatever the reason you are looking forward to fall, I’m so excited because fall is my second favorite season of the year! I love it most when the sun is out and the air has that crisp feel. Not so cold that I need to wear a coat, but I’m not sweltering in the hot summer sun. (Though looks like summer is holding on to Portland for the next couple weeks.)
Seniors, Families and More
Fall is my busy season. This is when all of my portrait genres are happening at the same time. Seniors, families and school portraits. And I couldn’t be happier! I loved having some time in the Spring during the quarantine but it was also such a strange time that I couldn’t trust the downtime. Summer has been uneasy with not knowing what is next but for some reason I have a hope the fall will improve things. Or maybe I just need a pumpkin cream cold brew from Starbucks. I’m hoping for some normalcy as my son goes back to pre-k and I can work a bit more.
Fall Color in Portland
I was talking about this with someone the other day but if you are wanting fall color in your portraits, book your photoshoot for October or early November. Most years the leaves change later than you’d think but this is Oregon and liquid sunshine will come back and potentially shake the leaves out so be prepared to reschedule if it rains.
Senior Minis are happening on September 27th, Family Mins on October 4th and November 7th! Plus I’ve got availability most weekends for the more full service senior and family portrait sessions. Want more info? Click here to get automated info and feel free to email me at email@example.com
