The Class of 2020 Seniors Squad got together for the first time mid-March. This is always filled with nerves for the girls and me. We’re all excited for the year and a half to come with all our events and photoshoots together. But we don’t really know each other yet and I love to start that at this first get-together.
Out of nine girls, only 2 go to the same high school. So while I was setting up for our shoot, the girls got to chit chat and enjoy some cookies and soda.
We played an ice breaker game called “This or That”. I asked them to run to one side of the studio to the other depending on their answer. We learned most love Dutch Bros. over Starbucks, tacos vs burgers was an even split, and I think dogs was the clear winner over cats.
I prefer ice breakers like this because I personally hate being put on the spot to give a bio when I’m meeting new people. I can say my name but ask me to tell you something no one knows about me or my favorite food and I’ll sit there and have a mental freakout over what I should say. I won’t hear anything anyone else says either, which is usually the point to these things. I know not everyone reacts like that but being an introvert means I try to minimize that feeling for others.
We talked about the spring styled shoot and what they wanted for a theme. I love brainstorming ideas with the girls! We narrowed it down to about 9 themes and they voted the next week. You’ll have to wait to see what they picked but let’s just say it might be my most EPIC shoot to date!
And then we took some super cute fun pics together! If you’ve never used a flutter stick, I highly recommend them! They are so fun and the confetti really does flutter!
Thank you ladies for such a fun welcome party! I can’t wait for our spring styled shoot this weekend!
