Cap and Gown Portraits for Grads

Spring is here and that means graduation isn’t too far away! Cap and gown portraits are always a wonderful end to senior year! Whether you are a high school senior or a college senior, it’s great to take portraits to remember your amazing accomplishment!

What is a Cap and Gown Session?

Cap and Gown Portraits are a mini session, which means it’s a quick 20-minute photoshoot at one location. I have a few favorite spots but this year we’ll be in either the Pearl District or the studio if it’s raining, and one date in Tigard at a spot that sometimes has a beautiful wildflower field. (But you can never tell year to year if it will bloom up by then!)

What to wear

For your session, you’ll have one outfit, and bring your cap and gown with any extras like your cords or stoles. Some high school seniors bring something that represents where they will go next year, others just wear something nice for a few headshots without the graduation attire. I’ll send you a guide on what to wear and bring to your session so you feel prepared.

After your session

A few days after your mini session you’ll get a link to an online gallery to choose your favorites and place an order. These photos are great to post on social media when you graduate of course but they can also be used to create custom grad cards, yard signs, banners for grad parties, prints to gift to family or even frame for the walls of your home!

Travel to colleges?

If you are a college senior and want me to come to your school I have one weekend open in May at this time. Reach out soon and round up your friends! I require a min of 4 to book for me to travel. I’ve gone to OSU and U of O over the years and I’m happy to travel to smaller campuses as well!

I’m so excited for the Class of 2022! You did it!!!!
