Portland got hit with a snow storm that started mid morning on Thursday. We don’t get much snow here and pretty sure its been a good 6 years since we’ve had this much snow. Since we rarely get snow I don’t drive in snow. The mere thought of driving in it freaks me the freak out so it’s probably best I stay off the roads. My co-workers know if snow is in the forecast I’m on edge. My normal drive home is about 18 minutes in heavy traffic and in the snow storm it took almost an hour. My knuckles were white but steadily made my way home. I’m hopeful it will all be gone by Monday morning so I don’t have to try to get to work in this mess.
Now that it’s Saturday and we’re on day 3 of the storm I decided to take my camera out and snap a few shots before it all melts away. Don’t get me wrong, I love a snow storm but only from the comfort of my home, under a blanket, on the couch. It’s beautiful to watch it snow from there! Our backyard has a fantastic old fence that was just dying to have its picture taken so I put on about 3 layers and went to explore our snowy landscape.
